Attention all Outdoor Adventurers
Are you planning an outdoor trip for yourself and your
family and want to make it a safe one? Are you not positive what things
you should get to take with you? I have a few great recomendations that I consider are
necessary when going on any outdoor adventure.
First thing that I would take of course would be the essentials like water,
food, and a first aide kit, but if you really want to be safe I recommend that you consider
something that can be used over and over even in your everyday
routine. The
Garmin Rino 530 GPS
system, a GPS/two-way radio that has a 14-mile
transmition range is ideal for any outdoor adventure. This
way if you have more than one of the Garmin Rino 530 GPS
Navigators and someone ends up hurt and the other
person needs to go for aid the two people can still keep in touch
as well as be able to map the injured persons location.
Granted there are inexpensive
GPS handhelds that you
could buy, but they most likely won't have the features that the
Garmin Rino 530 has. The Rino 530 also comes with a built in electronic compass,
barometric altimeter, and NOAA weather receiver making it ideal for the outdoor
enthusiast. This way when you are out biking the great
outdoors you can keep track of the useful things like weather conditions, and also keep track of which way you are going.
So when going on any outdoor trip whether it is hiking,
biking, off roading, or 4-wheeling I think that having a
GPS unit with you is a
must. I know you may think that it sounds a little over zealous, but when it comes to
the safety of you or your family is there any such thing as
over zealous, just ask yourself that question before you plan your next outdoor
adventure.
